I met Missi while working at my previous job, we instantly became friends chatting about our love of books, thrifting and general life awesomeness. She asked me to photograph her wedding and I agreed getting really pumped about the whole experience! We started off with an amazing fall themed photo-shoot at my pumpkin farm and then continued the shoot into downtown Grand Haven where we visited the place they met, the pier and a cup of coffee to warm us up in the dark. The love Missi and Doug share is intoxicating and very obvious when looking through these! Some of the best moments were captured while they didn’t even know I was shooting. Love is a very inspirational emotion and one that I find makes my craft a lot more passion driven! I just Love Love!
I love spending time with people and their dogs. I was lucky to meet Daisy at the Santa Paws photography event at Shelby’s Place Thrift Store when she came in to get her photo with Santa. I immediately fell in love with both Daisy, her mom Marcia and her story. Daisy was diagnosed with cancer and has been given a short chance on life (which she has already surpassed!!!).
I immediately had to get photos of her. She has been lucky to have been rescued from poor conditions and spend her glory years in a wonderful home with wonderful people who treat her like the princess she is. We spent a glorious rainy afternoon indoors wearing Daisy out by giving her lots of love and fresh chicken treats!
Daisy and her family were wonderful. I love getting to know all the animals I work with and capturing a moment forever for their forever-humans.
you could always use a bokeh filter, or you could just take a photo through some snow on your window. i have never really gotten such cool looking bokeh before and i just love the complete winterness of it. Happy holidays folks.
